Now that the lovelies Chelle and Casey are officially
married, I can add the rest of the designs I did for them.
I think they will be posted in this order...
The three beer labels I did, the menu that unfortunately
no one had time to go pick them up from the printers!
Oh well... And the program that doubled as a fan along
with a bird poem that was recited during the ceremony.
Which featured participation from the guests. Ex. I was
a swan, honk honk!

Wedding Invitations!

I finally get to show Chelle and Casey's wedding invitations! They have been sent! This was a seriously fun project to do for my good friends who are getting married SO soon! Also, not going to lie, I am excited to be a groomsmaid!

Sorry, these are once again all out of order.... Map to the Pearl, Save the Dates (front and back) Map to Mt. Tabor, Rehearsal Dinner Invite, Wedding Invite.

WPA Travel poster that I made in my illustration class, I then made the trivia poster to go with it for the review. There are little cards with the country names on them and it's an actual game you can play!

Outsider artist stamp series! (stamp paper, title page of sorts with info about each artist and a cover page with all the illustrations.)

And the rest... (Back cover last spread, fourth spread, third spread)

This is the final Tamara de Lempicka zine I turned in. Sorry things aren't in order, it's impossible to do on here...
(second spread, cover, first spread)

Here are the designs for the actual cd's. I cut them out and glued them on and turned them in with the cd covers.

I did a series of cd covers for three modern jazz singers. Norah Jones, Michael Buble and Madeleine Peyroux.

Alrighty the Portfolio Review is over! I turned it in yesterday so now I just have the next week to freak out worrying whether I passed or not. These are the book covers I turned in!

This is the latest assignment I have completed this term! I had to
make a WPA Poster. (Works Progress Administration). These were
posters that were put up in communities during the war in the 1930s
and 40s. They were put up to encourage you to get involved and to
remember the little things. That's the idea I went off of. I mostly
designed mine as a reminder for myself. Traveling is a life goal and this
is just so I don't forget! Oh and there are a lot of weird shoes out there!

This site will show you some examples of the original posters.

I finally have started to paint my clocks! The brown one is tacky but I had to get all those shapes and colors out of my system. The second one is the yellow. Right now I am working on one with poppies kind of to honor Grandma Nancy. They remind me of her. Pictures to come!

This was the shirt I did for screen printing! It was a surprisingly long process but really really fun. And I can make as many things as I want with that design on them. Sweet.

Last Project of the term

So the project doesn't totally make sense. But here it is. We have to listen in on conversations around the city, and then find a way to present it. So I decided to make a map and show the quotes I got on the map according to where I heard them. It is going to be a folding map with the skyline of Portland on the back so you can hang it on the wall. I also had to make a logo for it. I just made a small map. I also have to design stickers and think of another thing to make, haven't thought of it yet though.

It's a little small, will figure out how to load individual pictures soon. It's a calendar I just finished as a fake promotional piece for the Washington Apple Commission. A give-away of sorts. Enjoy! If you an see it...

This is the most recent thing I have done. We had an apple photoshoot! It was surprisingly fun. We had to think of a story and portray that story with the apple. I did mine about how tough graphic design can be...
This is from this term. It is a poster where I had to pick three artists I like and make a fake event poster that incorporates all three's work.

The one on the top is the poster I turned in last term. We had to make a poster showing the schedule of the graphic design program's "show and tell lecture series". Where designers come in and talk to us about their work and life as a designer! Seriously amazing people telling us stories about their lives.

The version on the bottom includes some revisions I have made this week. In the spring I will be going through a portfolio review where the faculty will be judging my work and deciding whether I have improved enough to continue in the program. I am pretty nervous about it, thus I am starting revisions now!

This assignment was to pick a category of books to design covers for. I chose the "minx" category, mostly for the challenge... The goal was to be unpredictable and not copy what has already been done. So I stayed away from images and stuck with just typography. I think I achieved that goal, so I then decided to pick colors that were a bit more predictable...
The typeface I designed for typography class!
Spread Four!
Spread Three! (sorry they are out of order...)
