This is the most recent thing I have done. We had an apple photoshoot! It was surprisingly fun. We had to think of a story and portray that story with the apple. I did mine about how tough graphic design can be...
This is from this term. It is a poster where I had to pick three artists I like and make a fake event poster that incorporates all three's work.

The one on the top is the poster I turned in last term. We had to make a poster showing the schedule of the graphic design program's "show and tell lecture series". Where designers come in and talk to us about their work and life as a designer! Seriously amazing people telling us stories about their lives.

The version on the bottom includes some revisions I have made this week. In the spring I will be going through a portfolio review where the faculty will be judging my work and deciding whether I have improved enough to continue in the program. I am pretty nervous about it, thus I am starting revisions now!

This assignment was to pick a category of books to design covers for. I chose the "minx" category, mostly for the challenge... The goal was to be unpredictable and not copy what has already been done. So I stayed away from images and stuck with just typography. I think I achieved that goal, so I then decided to pick colors that were a bit more predictable...
The typeface I designed for typography class!
Spread Four!
Spread Three! (sorry they are out of order...)
Spread Five!

Second Spread!
First spread!
This is the cover of a zine I did about Art Deco Painter Tamara de Lempicka. Enjoy!
Stamp series project! I had to choose five artists that were related in some way and make a series of postage stamps for them. I chose the category "outsider artists". Artists that just made art because they could and were not known for it at all. My teacher actually asked me if she could use them as an example for her next class! I think she chose it because I was one of the only people that added information about each artist.
Sorry about all of the little boxes, wasn't much I could do about that... This is a cd cover I did last term for a song a picked by madeleine peyroux. She has an amazing jazzy voice.

My stuff

Just thought I would create this blog so you guys can see what I am doing with my life in Graphic Design school! This is kind of the high-tech version of taping childhood artwork on the fridge.

I will say that most of my stuff is not super amazing, I still have a lot of searching to do still to find "my style"...

Again, I just wanted you guys to see what I was up to...
